Mmm not really. Different shades have the same hue but a different amount of saturation. (if you want to be technical). Purple is purle. However, pink could be a shade of red, as could maroon. (although pink may have a certain amount of purple and maroon could have some brown in it.....) But anyway - are we really going to have an arguement about colour specifications on a cycling website!? :lol: Perhaps purple argyles would have worked, but alongside a few other brightly coloured parts. You might as well go all out if you want clashing colours. I personally think red wheels would have been nicer, but it's your bike!
